A little more about art ...

Just exactly what our name suggest, our activities and syllabus are carefully and creatively designed to incorporate fun into learning and exploring. It is planned to include story-telling (in English), experiments, poem reading, craftwork, canvas painting and sometimes games.

Classes are conducted in a stress-free manner : in a clean home environment and in small groups (not more than 8 students per class). By holding classes into small groups, we are able to encourage children's participation when it comes to brain-storming. Our syllabus also encourages children to hold discussions among themselves (within the same topic) and thus building their interpersonal skills even among shy kids. The result, I am often amazed at how they can compose a picture from just a simple assignment.

..........................

At a young tender age, kids are a natural lateral thinker. How do you know this? They are able to let their imagination soar far and tell you creative stories. They are able to come up with good excuses as to why they have never done their homework and often get away with it pretty well. They are able to tell you that they see monster under their bed just to get their way to sleep in their parents' cozy bed.

As they grow up, they are conditioned (unknowingly) by adults to think logically, thus suppressing their creativeness. Art is the best way to stimulate young brain activities and naturally gears them towards the process of developing lateral thinking. It teaches them to think out of the box or expand their horizons to think creatively in many areas of practical lives, such as idea formulation, concept development and creative problem solving. A good example, a lateral thinker solves problem better, they see problems as opportunities and are able to find alternative solutions. They love challenges and are confident about meeting challenges head on.

Art, drama, languages are some ways kids can adopt lateral thinking into their process of growing up. Furthermore, needless to say that kids learn faster when they are experiencing fun in our class. In fact, they are keen to attend classes every week.
